Important information when working with Saxon

Why is Saxon Aerospace the best choice for my career?

We are a preferred provider for many of the most successful aerospace clients in North America for one simple reason: they understand that we are focused on building solid relationships with skilled technicians like you who share our passion to be the very best.

How often do I get paid?

Every two weeks. Contractors must submit weekly customer-approved timesheets and one invoice for each two week period. Make sure you meet the payroll deadlines. Timesheets function as supporting documentation, which is returned to the customer. Payments are made electronically into your preferred bank account every two weeks for the previous two weeks worked.

What should I do when my contract is about to end?

We will consider a contractor for additional placements at other customer facilities upon contract completion. We like to keep our people as busy as possible; sometimes this means a move from assignment to assignment. Our large customer base spans the country and enables us to keep contractors busy.

What does Saxon need from me to recommend me for positions?

A few things you can do to make on-going career moves happen efficiently is to ensure we have your latest contact information and a copy of your up-to-date certifications so we are ready to suggest you to our many clients.

Does Saxon deduct income tax, EI, CPP and submit them to the government?

No.  As a contractor, you are responsible to make those contributions/deductions.  Many financial institutions have areas on their website to pay your taxes, etc.

How often should I invoice?

You should invoice every two weeks.  If you have a GST/HST number, you must have it on each invoice.  If you do not have a GST/HST number, then you cannot charge GST/HST.  If you are not sure if you should have a GST/HST number, seek advice from an accounting firm.

How often do I receive payment from Saxon?

Saxon administers payments bi-weekly directly to your bank account. While on contract we also administer and pay the cost of your Workers Compensation and Aviation insurance coverages.

What does Saxon do on my behalf?

We’re here for you every step of the way, from your first interview to a successful placement to administering payment and taking care of your Workers Compensation and Aviation insurance coverages.

What does it cost to join Saxon?

Joining our team of professionals is absolutely free. Once we review your resume, references and skills, you’ll value being part of an organization that has a deep understanding of your industry and a commitment to match your skills and career goals with great positions at great companies.

Do I have to supply my own coveralls?

No, Saxon will supply you with coveralls, but it is your responsibility to wash them and mend them as required. You are also required to wear them while at a client’s facility unless the client prefers you to wear their coveralls.
